EIGHT- Powtoon: Awareness Video

Hi, again! Upon submission of the Powtoon individual assignment on life goals, we were given another task- group work to complete an explanatory video on an awareness campaign of our choice. I am working with Mas Izzatul and Shaziah for this task and we chose the awareness of using sunscreen. We choose the topic because the Earth is experiencing the global problem of the thinning of the ozone layer which made the planet hotter than before. The UV rays from sunlight is a source of skin damaging factor and could lead up to skin cancer if there's too much of it on our skin. Yes, nobody can avoid sunlight but the usage of sunscreen helps slowing down the process and protect our skin.  Watch our video now to know more of the importance of sunscreen application to our skin and the correct guidelines. I hope you'll enjoy it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwSEG_Ht3pQ&rel=0

SEVEN- Powtoon: Life Goals

In the previous class, Madam Azida introduced us to Powtoon and she wanted us to do an explanatory video on our life goals. I do have mine- quite a long list actually. Don't laugh because no matter how worst one gets, deep within they want to have achievements in life. So do I. And so do you. Well, at first I thought it was impossible for me to do one myself as I am not so much of a technology-updated kind of lady. I loveeee watching explanatory videos that people upload on YouTube but to make one myself- are you able to do that, Amelia? I tried- it turned out looking not as bad as I thought, hahaha. It qas a bit tricky for me at first looking at it features to choose and the arrangements, then template choices made me confused as well. But finally I managed to pull it off! So here's my very first technology artwork show off. Click the link below to watch!

SIX- Introduction to Powtoon

Have you heard of Powtoon before? If this is your first time, then we are equal! I just knew about Powtoon in Madsm Azida's class. It is a software that creates animated and explanatory videos- that is awesome. I mean can you imagine our lives needing to only read and see text to understand the whole concept? This makes learning a whole lot of fun! Personally and I think majority of people out there would agree that the maker of Powtoon is a genius for inventing this. Besides making life easier for people to understand something through stimuli-enhanced videos, they help conveying the message in the video clearer to the audience. I do mistajen a, lot of ambiguous phrases written in my reading material, hence this is a good way to deliver the messages clearly to people. I'm excited to making my own explanatory video!

TWO- Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL)

In class, madam Azida introduced us to computer-assisted learning or in short, CALL. I remember not learning the first time because I was in Materials and Adaptation class with Madam Ilyani Idris during diploma and she taught us this as well, but she only introduced us to the surface of it. Entering Internet Technology class, I added my knowledge to 80% on CALL. CALL is a tool that was developed in the 1960s when computer was first discovered possible to be a helpful tool to teach and learn language. In the 1970s, computer was established as the education tool and it developed from one stage to another; behavioristic CALL, communicative CALL and integrative CALL. There are four main types of CALL namely the CALL specific software, generic software, web-based learning material and computer media communication (CMC) programs. CALL specific software The first stage of CALL that is the behavioristic CALL has a programmed instruction which involves repetitive drill and practice. Thi...

FIVE- PODCAST CREATED!

Hi! Remember when I said I started listening to podcast in my previous post? My friend, Shaziah and I did one of our own!!! We were fantasizing that we are the DJs of our own channel and we started talking. We recorded the audio on our phone and transferred it to the app called Audacity to edit the unwanted noises. I don't want to talk much, so here goes! Enjoy our humble podcast!

FOUR- First Look on Podcast: A Review

Hi, everyone! I recently tried listening to podcast and I personally think that podcasting is almost-so-very similar to listening to a radio station on air. There's not much difference except that podcasting talks about certain topics and somewhat educational- it gives out information and knowledge. Radio, on the other hand usually used forto entertainment; by that I mean playing songs and some prank calls or event information. My first time using podcast via Spotify, I listened to this podcast by Mufti Menk entitled Hope with Effort . It was a good input for those who needed some motivation when their paths seem unclear and confusing. The delivery and content in podcasting play important roles in ensuring the listeners stay put and listen to it till the very end. The speaker must make the topic interesting and need to have a specific target audience. They need to say their points and explanations clearly so people will not confuse or misheard. All in all, I enjoy listenin...

ONE- The Author

"DREAM BIG, BIGGER THAN THE UNIVERSE." Hi, everyone!  I am Amelia and I am thrilled that you dropped by to my Writing Wonderland. Writing is my passion but it has always been for myself. They were never for others to read. So since the settings are for the public to see, please be remembered that all thoughts laid out are never to impress, but they are rather just my two cents. *warning alert!* Some people write for satisfactions, critics or even as a hobby. As simple as that, you can be just anybody to write out your thoughts, as long as you do it the right way.  I think I need to be sure and clear with my own purposes of starting to write in the first place. I write as an engineer, because I see how situations and experiences are subject to rational innovation and renovation as to ease us now and the Hereafter. I write as a doctor, because I need to find remedies to assist my own weaknesses and an older for my regularly declining imaan and insyaA...
