TWELVE- Smartbuilder: Lesson Design

Hi there! The first three pages of our courseware was approved and we were granted permission to proceed to our lesson!

We designed this courseware learning specifically on the topic Comparative and Superlative Adjectives under grammar focus. We targeted intermediate level of students aging from 18-20 years. Hence, the lesson that we provided will be specific and detailed.

Oh, before I forget- Madam Azida taught us to insert the 'button' onto each of the slides and again, she demonstrated it step by step in front. It was quite tricky at first but there are a lot of pages to be edited on this courseware, so like they say, practice makes perfect. Besides, we also learnt to insert background music to help enhance students' mind and not keep it boring.

Our lesson plan oj courseware seems to go as planned. Please pray that we'll manage to pull this off, ya? Thank you!

FOUR- First Look on Podcast: A Review

Hi, everyone! I recently tried listening to podcast and I personally think that podcasting is almost-so-very similar to listening to a radio station on air. There's not much difference except that podcasting talks about certain topics and somewhat educational- it gives out information and knowledge. Radio, on the other hand usually used forto entertainment; by that I mean playing songs and some prank calls or event information. My first time using podcast via Spotify, I listened to this podcast by Mufti Menk entitled Hope with Effort . It was a good input for those who needed some motivation when their paths seem unclear and confusing. The delivery and content in podcasting play important roles in ensuring the listeners stay put and listen to it till the very end. The speaker must make the topic interesting and need to have a specific target audience. They need to say their points and explanations clearly so people will not confuse or misheard. All in all, I enjoy listenin...

FIVE- PODCAST CREATED!

Hi! Remember when I said I started listening to podcast in my previous post? My friend, Shaziah and I did one of our own!!! We were fantasizing that we are the DJs of our own channel and we started talking. We recorded the audio on our phone and transferred it to the app called Audacity to edit the unwanted noises. I don't want to talk much, so here goes! Enjoy our humble podcast!

TWO- Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL)

In class, madam Azida introduced us to computer-assisted learning or in short, CALL. I remember not learning the first time because I was in Materials and Adaptation class with Madam Ilyani Idris during diploma and she taught us this as well, but she only introduced us to the surface of it. Entering Internet Technology class, I added my knowledge to 80% on CALL. CALL is a tool that was developed in the 1960s when computer was first discovered possible to be a helpful tool to teach and learn language. In the 1970s, computer was established as the education tool and it developed from one stage to another; behavioristic CALL, communicative CALL and integrative CALL. There are four main types of CALL namely the CALL specific software, generic software, web-based learning material and computer media communication (CMC) programs. CALL specific software The first stage of CALL that is the behavioristic CALL has a programmed instruction which involves repetitive drill and practice. Thi...
